Java Applet Puzzle Player

The JAVA Puzzle Player applet is used to play puzzles directly on a web page. To use the applet simply use the Publish HTML feature to create the files needed. Simply move these files to the same location on your web site and you're ready to play puzzles on the web.

The Java applet contains the capabilities needed to play any Word Splash Pro puzzle. Use the PLAY button to play the puzzle, the NOTE button to display the player notes (if any exist), the optional SOLVE button to solve the puzzle and the ABOUT button to show info about the applet.

There are many options that can be set prior to generating your playable web page, so review the Publish HTML features for a complete understanding of all the options available in the applet.

To play a Java puzzle simply press the mouse button down and drag it over the length of a word in the grid. A circle will be drawn. If it is a valid word the word will be circled and the word list marked.

If the word list or note is too long for the play area available then a scroll bar will be visible so you can scroll the list or note.

If the puzzle has scrambled words or hidden words (like in a question and answer puzzle), then you will be able to enter the answer a value for each line by clicking on that line. A text entry area will appear so the value can be typed in.

If the options allow it, the SOLVE button can be used to solve a hidden or scrambled word by clicking on that line before pressing SOLVE.

Owners of the Word Splash Sound Studio can add their own sounds to the puzzle, including the ability to have the words spoken as the puzzle is played. If sounds are being used with the puzzle a mute button will be available as well at the bottom right.

Owners of the Word Splash Power Pack can replace the default About Box with their own about box image.
